There are a lot of people in streets – old, handicapped, mentally challenged- suffering without food, cloth, medicine and shelter. We, Anna Kshetra (Anna means Food, Kshetra means Sacred place) Kerala, are trying to fulfil their basic need - that is food. We had been feeding them for past several years; but due to shortage of fund we were forced to stop the 'anna dhaanam' for sometimes. We re-started the programme from 10th January 2014 in a systematic manner with the support of some good hearted people and the confidence given by them. Currently, our volunteers are distributing food in a distance of around 30kms from varkala temple to Chirayinikizhu; our aim is to cover whole thiruvanathapuram district soon, then entire Kerala. Now we are covering needy people in the streets, railway stations, temples and trying to feed them at least one meal a day. So Anna Kshetra Kerala is coming to you, please support us with a big heart.
